Tech Reflect

Walk into any art classroom in the district and you'll find students drawing, painting, and generally being hands-on to create beautiful work! In Nichole Peacher's high school art class, however, you'll also see students using technology, specifically iMovie, to document the processes and reflect on their work.

Students have been tasked with using photos and iMovie to create a video description of the process of creating a piece of art. Students examine art techniques and pieces to inspire their own creations. Once they are ready to create, they take photographs to document the entire process from beginning to end.

Students compile their photographs, descriptions/text, and music to create a video that documents their experiences. This allows them to showcase their art and reflect on what they've created. Check out one student's video and artwork below!

What a fantastic way to integrate technology into the arts!
