Recently, Mary Cordry, the district's new Technology Integration Specialist, spent a day with 6th graders at GMS discussing digital citizenship and safety. Mary used iPads and Kahoot, a game-based classroom response system, to make the activity fun and engaging for students.

Kahoot is a great way to get students excited about participating in classroom activities and/or discussions. It can be used on iPads, or on Macbooks and PCs by navigating to the Kahoot website with any internet browser. For more information about Kahoot, and its potential in the classroom, please follow this link. For more information about game-based learning in education follow this link.

I used Kahoot a few times last year in my first grade class and loved it. It was a huge hit for students and great to check progress.

Thanks for doing this Scott! What a wonderful way to share what's going on in our schools! I love seeing all of the technology in the different buildings!
